情感棒棒糖
Emotion-Pop!是一個用來增加味覺體驗的棒棒糖裝置，用戶利用安裝在手機上的Artifical Intelligence(AI)檢測器偵測訊息中所隱藏的情感，並由棒棒糖品嚐這些情感的滋味。此設計是Verizon (美國電信公司) 與帕森斯設計學院為期3天的Hackathon中的提案。Emotion-Pop! 在25多個參賽團隊中，被授予最具創意的概念獎項並獲得現金獎勵，這也是我作品集中最有趣奇怪的一個設計概念。
概要
Verizon希望參賽者的提案，可以利用AI技術，提升用戶體驗以及增加使用頻率。我們在討論提案時，發現透過手機簡訊傳遞的內容，常會產生誤會。由於簡訊的短潔，有時單就文字內容，很容易忽略背後的情感，並無法推敲出對方訊息背後真正的意涵。我們一致認為這個題目很具有探討意義，並決定以此延伸我們的設計概念。而我們所設定的Design Question即是：我們如何有效地傳遞簡訊背後的情感，並減少在簡訊交流中的情感誤解？

使用者調查與研究
我們首先思考，除了大聲說出自己的感受之外，如何通過不同的感官系統來溝通與傳達這些情緒？如果可以品嚐到情緒會是怎麼樣的感受？經過更深入的研究和訪談，我們發現許多不同的文化，都會連結味覺與情緒。例如，在美國和中國文化中，我們經常以不同的味覺來描述自己的感受。我們常會說檸檬很酸，並也會用酸來形容一個人談吐。最後我們認為，情緒是可以品嚐的，也決定以味覺來讓用戶體驗到那些在手機簡訊看不到的情緒。
